Finance Website Market in UK and U.S.

The finance website market is very interesting, both in terms of the international market and trends - but also in terms of the type of web offer/proposition and the range of the type of finance product on the web.

Personal finance sites like Mint (in the U.S currently) are (according to Compete.com) doing well this year: Though the critically acclaimed Wesabe still looks like it is under-performing. These sites are personally hard for me to get enthusiastic about (not a comment on how good/bad they are.) But, the premise seems to be to offer an application that helps you track your money and ultimately save money (it's the faff of uploading all your finance comings and goings which is a personal turn-off for me.)

Another finance site that is having a good year is Propser.com, the social lending site. Again, we weren't sure about this one this time last year but it seems (on Compete at least) to be doing well.

It's hard to compare the U.S market with our own, but it is probably wise to take note of what is popular over the water. At home, I guess the finance comparison market is more focused at this time as offering the best possible deal on financial products at any one time. How much this will change over the next couple of years will be interesting.
