Ten Predictions For 2009

Time for some 2009 predictions, here goes.

1. The England Football team will win all, yes all, of their qualifying games against, Andorra
Belarus , Croatia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.

2. The iPhone will be freely available on 12 month phone contracts by December 2009.

3. ATARI will be in the news for bringing out a competitive gaming product and will have a renaissance in 2010.

4. Someone will buy the Woolworth brand and re-introduce it to the High Street in 2010.

5. Argos (or another major UK retailer) will make it in to the top 10 UK websites by Jan 2010.

6. The housing market will bounce back in autumn 2009.

7. The pound will rise against the Euro by autumn 2009.

8. Manchester United will win the 2009 Premiership title.

9. There will be an announcement that Top of The Pops is making a comeback.

10. Gordon Brown will still be Prime Minister this time next year.

Be sure to come back same time next year to see if I am right! (Gulp.)

Carl,
Good stuff! All prediction are correct except for 2:
1 - Arsenal is the team you want to put your money on (:-) ok unrealistic considering current table, but by God!, I want to see them win)
2 - Autumn 2009 will see second financial crisis (Nov-Dec) which will possibly be worse than the one we are having now. So in my uneducated opinion property prices will level out during Summer 09 and than will risk nose-diving at the end of the year. In Dec, you can call me Suzie if I am wrong!

Good blog,

Hi Jack,

Thanks. I sympathise with you on the Arsenal front :-) Though, they do have a habit of bouncing back.

It's certainly going to be interesting what happens with the economy/house prices this year. I hope you are wrong (Suzie :-) )

All the best,

Carl
