Re-branding - Virgin Radio & Absolute Radio.

It's interesting to see from Google Trends how long it has taken (with the might of the radio broadcast medium behind them) for Absolute Radio to build it's use as a Google search term. From this graph it looks like roughly two months to get to a point (admittedly a low point) that Virgin Radio were at prior to the re-brand which began in September.

What this says is that it looks like Absolute Radio have done a good job (up until the point of allegedly getting sued by Absolut Vodka ) for infringing their trade mark.

However, you wonder how long it would have taken without having the radio advertising to push the name out there? I suspect without the big fanfare it would have been harder.

Before T- Mobile fired Charles Barkley , they must have made one last commercial, this time featuring not only Miami’ s Dwayne Wade, but also the Orlando Magic’ s Dwight Howard as well. Hopefully, once Barkley gets his life back together, he will regain this endorsement.
